On Tuesday, April 22nd, twenty-three members of the NIRS paid a visit to Whidbey Island rhododendron gardens in Washington State.

A welcoming salmon BBQ was held at Lounsberry’s Park hosted by Jack and Norma Lounsberry.

The next day our group toured several prominent gardens on Whidbey Island followed by a pot luck dinner for members of both chapters hosted by Kathy and Barry Rix.

Returning home on Thursday April 24th, many of us had an opportunity to enjoy the Tulip Gardens of La Conner, Washington State.
