Members of the NIRS Propagation group met for the first time on January 20th to discuss our progress to date and plans for the coming season. Thanks to Sue Grant and Garth Wedemire for hosting these meetings in their Comox home.

Beginning in March, work parties were conducted on Saturday mornings to pot up plants, move them from the greenhouse and inventory the hundreds in stock. With 144 plants set aside for the April Sale, there was a ‘Members Only’ sale on Saturday, April 21st, which allowed members of the NIRS an opportunity to purchase plants at our wholesale prices.

Following the annual plant sale on Sunday, April 29th, another complete inventory was conducted. Throughout the summer months, a watering schedule was prepared to ensure the plants were doing well. In mid-September, another 100-plus plants were set aside for the annual sale in April 2019. This was followed by another ‘Members Only’ sale on Sept. 29th. This ended the activities of the group for the season.
