On Thursday, May 12th, our spring bus tour organized by Pauline Thompson and Christine Aldred saw 39 members and guests travel to the Parksville/Qualicum area to visit gardens of the M.A.R.S.chapter.

These were a few of the gardens featured on the 2016 MARS Mother’s Day Garden Tour on the previous weekend.

The gardens visited were owned by Doug Kitts & Jillian Withers, Maria & Al Bieberstein, Doug & Skip Cockburn, Arlene & John England, and Linda, Al & Elaine Derkach.

Because the tours of the gardens ended much earlier than expected, the group had time for a visit to the Qualicum Museum before being hosted at the Derkach seaside garden for appetizers and refreshments.
