Outstanding Service Award
Antje Guertler – June 2023
The NIRS ‘Outstanding Service Award’ is presented to a member of our club for providing sustained and significant contributions to the Chapter. This afternoon, we would like to thank Antje Guertler and present her with the NIRS Outstanding Service Award.
Antje joined the North Island Chapter in 2006 and has been an active and involved member ever since. As a Director on the Executive since 2017, Antje heads the Social Committee and keeps things running smoothly and efficiently. For her service and dedication to the Society, Antje was awarded the ARS Bronze Medal in 2018, which highlighted and acknowledged her work on the Executive, as well as her participation in pretty much all aspects of the club.
In addition to her overall support of NIRS activities, over the past few years Antje expanded her role in the Propagation group and was kind enough to take over the significant and time-consuming workload required to keep our mini nursery in operation. She continues to be involved in all our social activities and work parties and can be counted on to go ‘above and beyond’ whenever a task is at hand.
We believe that Antje is a worthy candidate for this honour and are very pleased to present her with the NIRS Outstanding Service Award.
Thank you Antje!
