Summer Picnic 2014

On Saturday, June 14th, fifty-eight NIRS members and guests gathered at the beautiful gardens of Adela & Bob Smith in Courtenay for our pot-luck picnic to celebrate our chapter’s “30th Anniversary”. Fun, games and fabulous food made for a very enjoyable afternoon.

Once again, we thank Barb & Brian Staton for organizing a garden scavenger hunt for members as they first arrived. Teams scoured the property looking for clues to the many questions. Special thanks to all committee members for organizing the party and to Adela & Bob Smith for hosting.

Congratulations to Diana Scott on receiving an “Outstanding Service Award” presented by Vice President Jake Ellis. As Past President, Past Secretary, Sale and Tour organizer, Diana was recognized for her many years of continued dedication to the chapter.
