On Tuesday, May 22, 2012, thirteen members of the Whidbey Island Chapter paid a three day visit to the North Island area. Arriving at the Comox Valley Rhododendron Garden, our guests were met by members of the executive and their billet hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A ‘Meet & Greet’ barbeque was held at the beautiful garden of Becci and Keith Russell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Wednesday morning, guests and hosts toured Bryan Zimmermann’s ‘Woodland Gardens’ on Coleman Road.\nThen everyone enjoyed a coffee break and quick tour at Diana & John Scott’s garden before heading to\nPaul & Lynn Wurz ‘Hidden Acres’ garden nursery in Campbell River, where all were treated to a delicious lunch provided by the NIRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After a tour of the Hidden Acres garden, the group stopped at the Black Creek gardens of Barb & Brian Staton and Lois & Jim Clyde on their way back to Comox for a potluck dinner hosted by Adela & Roberts Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The tour wrapped up on Thursday, May 24th with a parting tour at the gardens of Antje & Peter Guertler and Robert Argall’s garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Special thanks to Diana Scott, Lois Clyde, Peter Guertler and Dave Godfrey for sharing their photos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Whidbey Island Chapter Visits NIRS 2012 This is one of our Special Gallery Photo Albums.
