Noni and Dave Godfrey<\/span> – June 2013<\/span><\/h2>\n

We are pleased today to present the NIRS \u2018Outstanding Service Award\u2019 for members of the club providing sustained and significant contributions to the Chapter. Dave and Noni Godfrey joined the NIRS after moving to the Valley from Ucluelet about 10 years ago, and have been active and involved members ever since.<\/p>\n

Noni is multitalented and as the Rhodoteller Editor spends many hours producing an exceptional newsletter (recently recognized by the ARS), is our email notification \u2018go-to\u2019 person and a skilled techie making sure the Presentations at our meetings are set up and running smoothly. As our former Librarian Noni brought our collection up to date and made NIRS one of the first Chapters to have the library catalogue available online. Noni is there for the club, doing educationals, helping others with their presentations, organizing games, assisting with all things \u2018computer’; and always a significant presence whenever there is work to be done. Thank you, Noni!<\/p>\n

Dave has been a major contributor to our club and soon after joining took charge of Ways and Means, using his organizational skills to coordinate the Chapter\u2019s fundraising activities. Currently our Treasurer, Dave manages our finances. and as Webmaster has developed one of the most comprehensive sites in our District (with Noni\u2019s assistance!). Dave is our chief photographer, has organized many of our Program Speakers, and writes a very informative \u2018Members Notes\u2019 column in our newsletter. Dave does many, many jobs for the club and has always shared his thoughts and ideas to keep the club on track and moving forward. Thank you, Dave!<\/p>\n

Dave and Noni have been Garden Tour Hosts, are regulars at our Rhodo Garden work parties, and brought us our very handy NIRS Members Directory \u2018Yearbook\u2019. Recipients of the ARS Bronze Medal in 2007, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave and Noni for their ongoing support, and present them with the Outstanding Service Award<\/p>\n
