Meetings and Activities:<\/span><\/h1>\n

Our  Next Meeting is Tuesday, September 15th at <\/strong>7:00 pm<\/strong> – Please note that this is one week later than most monthly meetings due to the lateness of Labour Day this year<\/strong> <\/em>– <\/span>doors open at 6:30 pm <\/span>at Comox United Church hall, 250 Beach Drive, Comox.    Our program will be a presentation on Azaleas by Chris Southwick and Sue Klapwijk.   And yes, Azaleas are, in fact, members of the Rhododendron genus, in the familyEricaceae.      <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As always, we will have refreshments (delicious) at the break – so come and enjoy garden talk, learn, have some fun, and find out more about this interesting group and a shared love of gardening.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Milner Gardens and Woodland – Check their website for new activities <\/span><\/h2>\n

Vancouver Island University’s Milner Gardens & Woodland is a seaside garden in Qualicum Beach.     Milner Gardens are undertaking an upgrade of the slope on the eastern side of the tea-house – this upgrade will expand the rhododendron garden, using large rhodos which will stabilize the slope and display larger varieties of rhododendrons.<\/p>\n
